ASHOK CHAKRA AWARDEE- NAIK NEERAJ KUMAR SINGH
 
On 24th August 2014, Naik Neeraj Kumar of 57 Rashtriya Rifles battalion (Rajputana Rifles) intercepted a group of foreign terrorists in Machhal sector in Jammu & Kashmir in the ensuing battle, his colleague got injured and in order to rescue his comrade, he sustained a gunshot wound in his chest. In spite his grievous injury, he neutralised hardcore foreign terrorists & made supreme sacrifice for the nation.
