About Us
The word “AAN” stands for Army, Air force & Navy.
AAN Publishers is a creative company that makes graphic stories, based on facts, relating to post – independence India’s wars & gallantry award winners of the Indian Armed Forces. Most of us are woefully unaware of what our soldiers experience & endure during combat and their heroism in times of peace & war. Besides, the Indian public is not aware of the military matters in general and the stories of courage of unknown real-heroes of the Indian Armed Forces. In order to bridge this gap, AAN Publishers introduced two graphic stories in the year 2012 on Siachen glacier conflict followed by illustrated stories on gallantry Awardees of the Indian Armed Forces. So far, AAN Publishers has come out with 62 comic books, relating to fact- based stories on real war heroes of the Indian Armed Forces. Our endeavour has always been to bring the gallant award winners of the Indian Armed Forces into the public consciousness through a simple and reader-friendly medium which conveys the message contained in these illustrated books to inspire & motivate young minds and to enable them to emulate the qualities of gallant Indian soldiers.

The Chief of the Army Staff, General Manoj Pande, is being presented a collection of stories on 24 war heroes by the artist and creator Mr. Rishi Kumar.
What we do
The idea of bringing out these graphic stories was to raise awareness among the Indian public, especially the present & future generations, of the history of military operations showcasing courage, valour, dedication to duty, respect, honour, discipline, selfless service & sacrifice of the unknown, real-heroes of the Indian armed forces and their heroics in battles and peace time.
What compelled us to venture forth in this endeavor was the lack of comics on Indian wars and war heroes. We used to read Commando Comics showcasing British and American war heroes. We felt it was high time that we should have our own Indian Commando Comics.
The comics are in honour of all those brave hearts of the Indian military who have sacrificed their Present for our Tomorrow.
Objective
Our objective of coming out with these real-life graphic stories is to bring gallantry awardees into public consciousness and to make readers aware of unbroken traditions of valour, courage, patriotism, dedication, discipline and sacrifice that has been the hallmark of Indian soldiers since time immemorial.
It is our endeavor to immortalize these brave, unknown, Indian soldiers through our reader-friendly graphic stories to inculcate values among youngsters. Each issue features a truly heroic story on the military awardees, our very own ‘Jawans’, with brilliant and well researched illustrations. We believe that the young minds must be aware of them in order to evoke the much required empathy and gratitude to our brave soldiers.
