HAV HANGPAN DADA – ASHOK CHAKRA AWARDEE
 
35 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Havildar Hangpan Dada was awarded Ashok Chakra Posthumously on the occasion of Independence day-2016. Havildar Hangpan Dada blocked the escape route of the terrorists and surprised them by moving with incredible speed in inhospitable snow bound high altitude terrain. Havildar Hangpan Dada killed three terrorists in the operation single handedly.
