CAPTAIN JASRAM SINGH – ASHOK CHAKRA AWARDEE
 
Captain Jasram Singh was officer of 16 Rajput Battalion. In 1968 on Mizo hillunder his guidance, the unit defeated hostiles and captured the area. Because of his good leadership and indomitable bravery, he was awarded Ashok Chakra. Captain Jasram Singh is still with us
