BATTLEFIELD SIACHEN - BATTLE ON THE COLDEST AND HIGHEST BATTLEGROUND IN THE WORLD (A TRUE STORY)
 
Siachen means the place of wild roses, far from the meaning the reality is different. It is an extremely cold and barren glacier with brutal weather conditions. It is the second largest glacier in non polar region. Much after the first Jammu Ladakh & Kashmir war of 1947-48, both India and Pakistan realized the importance of this area and committed their respective forces to dominate the glacier leading to several conflicts and clashes between the two nations. The war on the highest battleground in the world is being fought under in-human conditions at he height of above 20000 feet and sub zero temperature below 50 degree celcius. Freezing cold weather and rarefied atmosphere are the real enemies. There have been more casualties inflicted by nature's hostility than bullets.
